I began my career as a Performance Designer specialising in puppetry. My main influences include Horse and Bamboo, Invisible Thread/Faulty Optic and Julie Taymore who direct and design their productions. I believe work that is created in this way has an entirely different atmosphere and visual impact than performances designed and directed separately. After many masterclasses and workshops, I am now beginning my career as a Director/Designer focusing on how the two specialisms fuse together to create visually stunning theatre.
My work is made, where possible, from recycled materials. This gives a new life to lost and broken objects and provides an antidote to modern technologically focused performance practices.
